Patricia Alice Albrecht, the Voice of Pizzazz, Talks About TV's 'Jem & the Holograms'


For kids growing up in the 1980s, one of the classic animated series on television was "Jem and the Holograms," based on a series of dolls made by Hasbro. The story-line was simple and focused on an all-girl rock band called The Holograms headed by "Jem" (the alter ego of music company owner Jerrica Benton). There was a weekly dose of action, music and colorful fashion as the ambitions of the good-hearted Holograms were often thwarted by rival band, The Misfits. The Misfits was headed by spoiled bad-girl Pizzazz, whose voice was provided by Patricia Alice Albrecht.
