When I was very young, my family moved to India for three years when my father was stationed at the embassy. I still have childhood memories of passing beggars on the streets of India.
A few years after college, I returned to India for a month which is when I became even more aware of the children who roamed the streets of India and Nepal, begging for money.
Now a new documentary seeks to shed light on the life of orphans in India.

Australian Christian pop rock singer, songwriter, musician, author, and actor Rebecca St. James provides the narration for a new documentary about 25 of the more than 31 million orphans living in India in the film "Mother India: Life Through the Eyes of the Orphan." A spokesperson for Compassion International as well as Nashville resident, Rebecca is a natural spokesperson for at-risk children.
