Nashville's 33rd Annual Oktoberfast pays homage to faith, friendship & fall fun Oktoberfest in Nashville arrived with overcast skies and moderate temperatures on October 13, 2012. By midday as thousands of people gathered to enjoy the Germantown festival , the sun came out and made the day even more festive. I went with my friend Pam and her husband Kenny, and I got to visit with my father's cousin as well as my friend Terry Kopansky from Civitan. It was a beautiful fall day and the festival was crowded, colorful and fun -- in other words, just about perfect! Nashville's 32nd Oktoberfest celebrates faith, friendship & fun Nashville's 32nd annual Oktoberfest took place on Oct. 8 in the historic Germantown community. Hosted by the Church of the Assumption and Monroe Street United Methodist Church, Oktoberfest is a free, not-for-profit event with proceeds going to the continuing restoration of historic Assumption Catholic Church and Monroe Street United Methodist Church, as well as continuing outreach projects for the needy.
