30 Years in the Making: My Latest Feature on Influential Women



Following my recent recognition in the Influential Women series, I am thrilled to share that I was invited to write a guest article which is now live on their platform!


The piece, titled "30 Years Before the Spotlight: Why Real Influence Is Built in the Quiet Years," delves into what it truly takes to build a lasting legacy in media and publishing. Looking back over the three-decade journey of founding and publishing Christian Activities starting in 1988, I reflect on the quiet years of steady, faithful work that happen long before any awards or headlines arrive.


In the article, I also share three core principles that have guided my career—focusing on purpose, consistency, and honoring family legacy (including a special connection back to my father’s 1976 Who’s Who listing).

Snapple Makes a Sucker Out of Me

Don't get me wrong. I like Snapple tea. I buy the Snapple Peach Ice Tea several times a year when it's on sale. I particularly like the fact that although at 39 grams it is relatively high in sugar, Snapple does not contain high-fructose corn syrups Recently it was on sale at Publix, so I brought home three 6-packs of Snapple All Natural Peach Tea (it was a buy 2, get 1 free deal). I noticed a little graphic at the bottom of the label that said "THE FINALE" next to a star. I found a star under one of my Snapple bottle caps, and got a little excited, so I read the label more carefully. The label said "Find a star and you could attend THE FINALE" and on the side it said if you found a star you could win a trip to the America's Got Talent Finale "or other great prizes." Update on Eric Roper & Landmark Construction of Nashville

My bathroom still has no wallpaper, no fixtures &  a hand mirror thumb-tacked to the wall - since June 2011 The situation with Eric Roper and Landmark Construction of Nashville, TN, just gets odder and odder. A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by a woman whose older parents are pursuing legal action against Eric Roper and Landmark Construction because she says he performed the same kind of sloppy works with the same basic crew (Kenny and Frank) on her parents' house in 2010. I believe her parents suffered water damage during the Nashville flood as I did under my house. In my case it was followed by subsequent massive water damage when my washing machine hose burst in the night a few months later and pumped some 2500 gallons of water into my house.
