Celebrating Mother's Day 2012: Mother's Day Poems, Gifts & Ideas

Mother's Day has been bittersweet for me since I lost my mother in 1991. It hardly seems possible that I haven't seen her in more than 20 years. The endless TV commercials and radio jingles remind me how much I miss my mom, but they also bring some treasured memories to mind: her laugh, her smile, the way she cared for me when I was sick, the weekend drives we took in the country when she was sick with cancer just to get away and enjoy the day. If you have a mother, no matter what emotional baggage might come with the relationship, make sure she knows she is loved. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.
