Christian Activities Magazine is 25 years old! I am both pleased and humbled to announce that Christian Activities is celebrating our 25th anniversary this month!  It was 25 years ago in October of 1992 that I first had the vision of putting together a Christian calendar that would cross denominational boundaries in Middle Tennessee. This has been a labor of love that I have always worked other jobs to support.  It has been a tremendous sacrifice at times but always so rewarding. The 36th Annual  NAIA Tennessee Pow Wow  and Fall Festival is taking place this weekend at Long Hunter State Park in Nashville, Tenn. featuring Native American Indian arts and crafts and a functioning demonstration village. Booths, crafts, food vendors, demonstrations, a working American Indian village, dance and music are some of the attractions, not to mention lots of dolls and figures! The 2017 GMA Dove Awards took place at my Alma Mater, Lipscomb University, on Tuesday night and I had the privilege to once more be a part of the festivities.  Held at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena to honor inspiring Christian/Gospel entertainment from Rock, Pop and Gospel to Country, Spanish Language, film and more, the night also featured one-of-a-kind performances from artists across the world.  Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will exclusively air the awards show on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. CST.
