Thanksgiving 2020 Thoughts

2020--it was the year that promised to give us all clearer vision. Maybe it did. We have seen our media, election process and political systems for the shams they are, and seen through the politics of social media. 2020 has certainly opened our eyes about many things.

Beyond that we have had a pandemic to cope with, BLM/Antifa riots, some police departments shut down, as well some cities, not to mention business that could not withstand the ravages of a pandemic and riots.

If that's not enough, we were are mandated to wear masks and hold small family gatherings for our national day of Thanksgiving. So what is there to look forward to for Thanksgiving 2020? I take a look at some ways to make Thanksgiving a day of thanks in 2020 here:

Choking on Honey: What to Do

Choking on honey: What to do Honey is a thick, viscous fluid which can become trapped in a person's airway. While there are many articles written about using honey to remove obstructions from the throat, there is not much, if anything, written about what to do if someone is choking on honey. I had an experience where I was choking on honey and called the paramedics. I couldn't even speak by the time I had someone on the phone. By the time the paramedics arrived, the honey had dissolved enough for me to begin gasping for air.  The main thing is to NOT PANIC and not inhale it deeper while it is thick. Honey will slowly dissolve and thin out. 'Naked and Afraid XL' and Mean Girl Cliques

I just finished watching the third season of "Naked And Afraid XL." I respect these people for leaving the comfort, safety and security of home to face unknown hardships in remote and inhospitable places. I wouldn't choose to do it, so my comments should be viewed knowing I realize I could not do what these people have done. In addition, I am aware that most of the action and dialogue takes place off camera. All my impressions are compliments of a cameraman and a film editor and the scenes they chose to share. A lot happens that that I am completely unaware of. With these two disclaimers in mind, let's talk about Mean Girl Cliques on "Naked And Afraid XL." Every girl comes up against them in elementary school. They become a force to be reckoned with in junior high and have usually become more sophisticated and somewhat nicer in high school. Even boys know their wrath, but the cruelties of Mean Girls are normally reserved for other girls. Not so on
