Two Ukrainians Speak Out on Russo-Ukrainian War | Christian Activities


I recently had the opportunity to talk to two students online who live in different parts of the Ukraine. They have been posting daily reports and took the time to answer some questions for me.

~Two Ukrainian students talk about how the Russo-Ukrainian war has affected them~

The Russo-Ukrainian War began in February 2014 as Russian forces began surrounding the Ukraine. Recently Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was raised by Jewish parents in a Russian-speaking area in southeastern Ukraine, has stated that Russian President Putin had Russian forces, including nuclear arms, placed on high alert. Today talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations are scheduled to take place on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, causing many around the world to hope this might signal the end of the hostilities.

Choking on Honey: What to Do

Choking on honey: What to do Honey is a thick, viscous fluid which can become trapped in a person's airway. While there are many articles written about using honey to remove obstructions from the throat, there is not much, if anything, written about what to do if someone is choking on honey. I had an experience where I was choking on honey and called the paramedics. I couldn't even speak by the time I had someone on the phone. By the time the paramedics arrived, the honey had dissolved enough for me to begin gasping for air.  The main thing is to NOT PANIC and not inhale it deeper while it is thick. Honey will slowly dissolve and thin out. 'Naked and Afraid XL' and Mean Girl Cliques

I just finished watching the third season of "Naked And Afraid XL." I respect these people for leaving the comfort, safety and security of home to face unknown hardships in remote and inhospitable places. I wouldn't choose to do it, so my comments should be viewed knowing I realize I could not do what these people have done. In addition, I am aware that most of the action and dialogue takes place off camera. All my impressions are compliments of a cameraman and a film editor and the scenes they chose to share. A lot happens that that I am completely unaware of. With these two disclaimers in mind, let's talk about Mean Girl Cliques on "Naked And Afraid XL." Every girl comes up against them in elementary school. They become a force to be reckoned with in junior high and have usually become more sophisticated and somewhat nicer in high school. Even boys know their wrath, but the cruelties of Mean Girls are normally reserved for other girls. Not so on
