Lee Greenwood asks Americans to remember vets on Veterans Day

Franklin, TN resident Lee Greenwood, who is perhaps best known for his stirring patriotic anthem "God Bless the USA," has released a Veterans Day statement for 2010, asking Americans to honor Veterans by visiting a memorial on this Veterans Day.

What is Veterans Day?
Veterans Day  is observed on November 11 each year to honor America's veterans. The holiday is also celebrated around the world as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day and commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice by the Germans, which officially ended World War I  at 11th hour of 11th Day of 11th Month of 1918.

Choking on honey: What to do Honey is a thick, viscous fluid which can become trapped in a person's airway. While there are many articles written about using honey to remove obstructions from the throat, there is not much, if anything, written about what to do if someone is choking on honey. I had an experience where I was choking on honey and called the paramedics. I couldn't even speak by the time I had someone on the phone. By the time the paramedics arrived, the honey had dissolved enough for me to begin gasping for air.  The main thing is to NOT PANIC and not inhale it deeper while it is thick. Honey will slowly dissolve and thin out.
