42nd Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards’ nominations announced

The nominees for the 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards were announced today from the Grand Salon of the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, instead of being announced in Nashville, Tennessee, as has been the tradition for the past 4 decades. TobyMac and Chris Tomlin topped the list of artist nominees with six nominations each, while Jason Crabb took five, and Francesca Battistelli garnered four nominations in Christian music's most prestigious awards show.
 
 I am among many Nashvillians who are disappointed the announcement and awards are not being held in Nashville. After the May flood, Nashville needs conventions, events and business to help rebuild.

Choking on honey: What to do Honey is a thick, viscous fluid which can become trapped in a person's airway. While there are many articles written about using honey to remove obstructions from the throat, there is not much, if anything, written about what to do if someone is choking on honey. I had an experience where I was choking on honey and called the paramedics. I couldn't even speak by the time I had someone on the phone. 'Naked and Afraid XL' and Mean Girl Cliques

I just finished watching the third season of "Naked And Afraid XL." I respect these people for leaving the comfort, safety and security of home to face unknown hardships in remote and inhospitable places. I wouldn't choose to do it, so my comments should be viewed knowing I realize I could not do what these people have done. In addition, I am aware that most of the action and dialogue takes place off camera. All my impressions are compliments of a cameraman and a film editor and the scenes they chose to share. A lot happens that that I am completely unaware of. With these two disclaimers in mind, let's talk about Mean Girl Cliques on "Naked And Afraid XL." Every girl comes up against them in elementary school. They become a force to be reckoned with in junior high and have usually become more sophisticated and somewhat nicer in high school.
