'Columbo' Actor Peter Falk Passes Away at 83 -- Profile of an Iconic TV Detective

 A beloved American actor has died -- Peter Falk, best known for his portrayal of Detective Columbo
  in the television movies series as well as the grandfather in "Princess Bride" has passed away from Alzheimer's disease.

My family and I enjoyed watching the Columbo movies, and as I mentioned in yesterday's post about Glen Campbell, I lost my own father to Alzheimer's. I sure hope they find a cure for this horrible disease soon.

Choking on honey: What to do Honey is a thick, viscous fluid which can become trapped in a person's airway. While there are many articles written about using honey to remove obstructions from the throat, there is not much, if anything, written about what to do if someone is choking on honey. I had an experience where I was choking on honey and called the paramedics. I couldn't even speak by the time I had someone on the phone. By the time the paramedics arrived, the honey had dissolved enough for me to begin gasping for air.  The main thing is to NOT PANIC and not inhale it deeper while it is thick. Honey will slowly dissolve and thin out.
