 Tina Pappas and Mark Sorrells captivate at Crumb de la Crumb Jazz Brunch



I got to see my good (notice I didn't say "old" friends) friends Mark Sorrells and Tina Pappas perform at Crumb de la Crumb in Bellevue at lunch yesterday.  Our friendship goes back to the 1980s where they were both part of the Nashville music scene and both attended Belmont Church with me.



Crumb de la Crumb hosted their weekly Jazz Brunch with pianist and vocalist Mark Sorrells
Saturday, May 17th from 11:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. The bright, airy
Bellevue restaurant was full of patrons enjoying dishes from Crab Cakes
to the Hippie Sandwich, and the soft jazz piano provided a nice ambiance where guests could easily converse and listen to old favorite.

'Naked and Afraid XL' and Mean Girl Cliques

I just finished watching the third season of "Naked And Afraid XL." I respect these people for leaving the comfort, safety and security of home to face unknown hardships in remote and inhospitable places. I wouldn't choose to do it, so my comments should be viewed knowing I realize I could not do what these people have done. In addition, I am aware that most of the action and dialogue takes place off camera. All my impressions are compliments of a cameraman and a film editor and the scenes they chose to share. A lot happens that that I am completely unaware of. With these two disclaimers in mind, let's talk about Mean Girl Cliques on "Naked And Afraid XL." Every girl comes up against them in elementary school. They become a force to be reckoned with in junior high and have usually become more sophisticated and somewhat nicer in high school.
