This is my last article on the IBMA Music Awards and the Dillards induction into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame, so I think I will do a little review...
The Dillards, who were inductees into the 2009 Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame, were the focus of much back-clapping and hand-shaking as they made their way through the cocktail reception prior to the 20th anniversary of the IBMA Awards on October 1. Wearing his signature hat, Doug Dillard was easy to spot. I ran into Doug and his wife Vicky outside the Renaissance Hotel chatting with Jim Clark, author of several Mayberry books, before the reception (see slideshow below)....
