Beware Overdrive Viral Scam
About a month ago, of the influencer companies that I do articles and reviews for recently carried several listings from a company called Overdrive. Overdrive promised to pay people to sign up on their site to share acceptable links with the promise of payment for signing up as well as future pay for any links that are shared. The influencer company I write for has rules: before we do any work, we are supposed to get a formal pitch from any business that wants to work with us. I applied for the Overdrive offer but instead of getting a formal pitch, I received a message telling me to sign up on their site before I would be accepted. Foolishly, I signed up and requested they send the formal pitch. As soon as I signed up, they removed the offer. However, 3 more Overdrive offers popped up, so I applied for one, and was told to sign up on their site. I told them I already had and was still waiting for the formal pitch. They immediately pulled the offer. I contacted the influencer company
