I recently partnered with my fiance to purchase a pretty vintage style engagement ring setting from   Pompeii Jewelers . The ring was advertised in white gold but a call to the company proved Pompeii was more than willing to work with customers on their orders. Not only was I able to get the ring in yellow gold instead of white gold, but I was able to upgrade both the size and clarity of the small diamonds in the setting.  Pros: The company was easy to work with and gave me personalized service as well as the ability to customize my ring setting. The ring is pretty and close to what was pictured in the advertisement. The small diamonds appear to be of good quality with nice clarity and sparkle.  Cons: The size of the stones is somewhat in question. I ordered the ring upgraded to 1/3 carats but my local jeweler told me he thought the stones were probably 1/5 or less.  WARNING! Groupon deals may not always be as good as they seem!  On May 18 a Groupon ad appeared on a Facebook page I was visiting for a pair of 14K Solid Gold French Lock Hoop Earrings at an extreme discount of about 80% off the normal $200 price making the beautiful earrings shown only $24.95. Wow! $200-something earrings for only $24.95??? I couldn't sign up fast enough so I became a Groupon customer on the spot just to get the earrings. The earrings were 12mm which I assumed was diameter from the picture where the French lock shown was proportionately smaller than the rest of the earring. When I received the envelope from Groupon, I thought it was empty. I couldn't feel any lump or bump at all.
