Life Perspective: Reviews & More

Blue moon inspires walkers and hikers at Edwin Warner Park Jack and I had a great time last night when  Michael D Hughes, hike leader and event coordinator from Cumberland Transit, led a group of more than 60 hikers from Nashville Hiking Meetup and other hiking and fitness groups on almost 4 miles of paved roads at Percy Warner Park for a special Blue Moon Hike. The large group spilled into three parking areas around picnic shelter 9 off Vaughn Road at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 31.  OK, so it's not really blue! A blue moon is the rare occurrence of a 2nd full moon in one month. Hike details and photos at: Blue moon inspires walkers and hikers at Edwin Warner Park - Nashville Skin, Health & Beauty Examiner

Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jeane Mortenson)  June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962 August 5, 2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of actress Marilyn Monroe. Fifty years after her untimely and somewhat mysterious passing, Marilyn Monroe continues to be as iconic as she was in the 1950s and 60s. In memory of Marilyn Monroe, these are some of the articles I have written about Marilyn Monroe: Health & weight: How big was Marilyn Monroe & what size dress did she wear? A strange mythology has sprung up over Marilyn Monroe's dress size. For decades I heard Marilyn Monroe was a size 12 back in the 1950s. However, in more recent years, Elizabeth Hurley (2000) and Roseanne Barr (1996) have claimed Monroe was a size 16.
