30 Years in the Making: My Latest Feature on Influential Women

Image
Following my recent recognition in the Influential Women series, I am thrilled to share that I was invited to write a guest article which is now live on their platform! The piece, titled "30 Years Before the Spotlight: Why Real Influence Is Built in the Quiet Years," delves into what it truly takes to build a lasting legacy in media and publishing. Looking back over the three-decade journey of founding and publishing Christian Activities starting in 1988, I reflect on the quiet years of steady, faithful work that happen long before any awards or headlines arrive. In the article, I also  share three core principles that have guided my career—focusing on purpose, consistency, and honoring family legacy (including a special connection back to my father’s 1976 Who’s Who listing). Whether you are an author, creator, or entrepreneur working quietly behind the scenes on your own big projects, I hope these reflections encourage you to keep showing up and building for the long...

Influential Women Interview with Kathryn Darden

Image
This year author and publisher Kathryn Darden has been  selected for both Marquis Who’s Who and the Influential Women 2026 Directory. She was recently interviewed by Influential Women and shared part of the interview here:  “The Marquis recognition carries special meaning — my father was selected in 1976, exactly 50 years earlier. Being included in the same publication half a century later, during another nationally historic year, feels like a full-circle moment,” she shares. “I’m also grateful to have been interviewed and selected by Influential Women for their 2026 Directory. It’s meaningful to be recognized alongside other women who are contributing across so many fields,” she continues.  Darden says she is “Thankful for the work, the journey, and the encouragement along the way.” Related: Kathryn E. Is Marquis Who’s Who Legitimate? Why Legacy Professional Registries Still Matter Today

Image
Is Marquis Who’s Who legitimate, or is the historic publication just a modern vanity press? In an era dominated by online reputation management and digital networking, professionals frequently question the value of legacy biographical directories. While a quick Google search or a scroll through self-edited LinkedIn profiles has become the default method for verifying professional credentials, the modern open web suffers from a severe lack of vetting and factual oversight. As digital misinformation and automated AI content increase, the active Marquis Who’s Who in America registry is proving to be more vital than ever. A Changing Landscape for Professional Recognition Following the recent announcements regarding my inclusion in the 2026 Marquis Who’s Who registry , I’ve been reflecting on the changing landscape of professional recognition.  Here is  why such legacy registries matter more than ever in a fractured digital world. History : Established by Albert Nelson Marq...
