The 2017 GMA Dove Awards took place at my Alma Mater, Lipscomb University, on Tuesday night and I had the privilege to once more be a part of the festivities.  Held at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena to honor inspiring Christian/Gospel entertainment from Rock, Pop and Gospel to Country, Spanish Language, film and more, the night also featured one-of-a-kind performances from artists across the world.  Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will exclusively air the awards show on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. CST. The 46th Annual GMA Dove Awards were handed out in 41 categories on Oct. 13 along with four special awards. Co-hosted by Erica Campbell and Duck Dynasty's Sadie Robertson, the night drew a record attendance at the Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University. Dove Awards at Lipscomb University--The Doves and I Come Home This year's 44th Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards Show was a homecoming in more ways than one for me. Not only did the Doves finally return to Nashville after a two-year's absence bringing with them all the friends I only see once a year at the Awards, but the show was held at my old alma mater, David Lipscomb University. It was definitely a nostalgic evening for me as well as my first time covering a red carpet event! Also, Terry, the Getty Images photographer who was the official photographer for the event graciously took a photo of me with my camera.
