The Bodyguard Musical starring Deborah Cox and Judson Mills with Douglas Baldeo, Jonathan Hadley, Jasmin Richardson and more was performed at TPAC on March 21, 2017. Cox has a beautiful,strong voice that can definitely carry off the assortment of Houston's hits and turn them into her own. The musical deviates from the movie in numerous places while still remaining familiar. The back story for Frank Farmer is flashed out a little and there are a couple of twists.  The musical weaves in humor with drama, song and dance to create a palatable blend that makes for an  enjoyable evening.  There was a small cast party afterwards where guests got to meet Cox and other actors, and she was just as lovely in person as she was on stage. However, truth be told, although I was interested in buying the soundtrack after the show, when it came right down to it, I bought a CD of Whitney Houston's greatest hits instead. No one can do it  quite  like Whitney did. ...

The American Music Awards took place tonight. I was disgusted with half of it, especially Perez Hilton as a host or whatever he was and Adam Lambert's disgustingly lewd movies.
