Lunch with Friends at Ruby Tuesday, Green Hills

Image
The first Ruby Tuesday opened near the campus of the University of Tennessee in 1972 the year my class graduated from high school. I remember eating at the one in Green Hills in the late 70s and 80s with friends. When a Ruby Tuesday opened at the Bellevue Center Mall. I ate there all the time with friends and my brother. Yesterday I returned to Ruby Tuesday on Hillsboro Road with my high school friends Mary Ann and Melody where we enjoyed the meal and looking at the window at our alma mater, Hillsboro HS. Since we gals reconnected at our 40th high school reunion , it was only fitting to eat across the street from our old school. It was a trip down memory lane and a delicious meal all in one. And with the Ruby Tuesday Garden Bar, it was also a fairly healthy meal . You can read about it at: Healthy eating at Ruby Tuesday

Hillsboro High School 40th Reunion Memories

Image
Recently, the Hillsboro High School Class of 1972 held its 40th high school reunion on the 40th anniversary of the exact date we walked out of the Hillsboro High School Gym as graduates. Through some fluke, although my parents and brother continued to live at the same address for more than 20 years after I graduated, I never got an invitation to a reunion in the past. This year was special, because I was actually added to a Facebook group where I was informed about the reunion in plenty of time to plan for it. After 40 years, I was finally officially invited to a class reunion! In attending the Friday night and Saturday night events, I realized what it was I had been missing out on all these years. I had no idea that I would enjoy talking to people I barely knew in high school so much or how much I would cherish catching up with old friends I haven't thought about in years. In high school, popularity, clubs, academics, sports, special interests, and other thin...
