My First-Hand Experience with COVID, Sept. 2023

Image
~ My first-hand experience with COVID: what worked and what didn’t. See Takeaways at end of article. ~  Day 1 with COVID (Monday, Sept. 4) On Monday, I had a very, very mild rasp in my throat, so mild I wondered if l was really experiencing it. After work, I came home and worked on trimming some branches that have fallen in my front yard and hauling them down to the foot of the hill—stuff you wouldn’t typically do if you were sick.  I took a bath right before I went to bed and noticed how stiff and sore I was. Day 2 with COVID (Tuesday, Sept. 5) By Tuesday morning, I had a fever of 100.9 which ended up staying at 102 most ...

We know we shouldn't enable alcoholics or drug addicts in their behavior, but this one we MUST accept and enable because "it doesn't hurt anyone."  Believe me -- it hurts plenty of people, but no one wants to talk about that.  Let's talk about the harm of the "transgender" movement. As political pundit Matt Walsh explains, wom...

Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly about the Barbie Movie. Why Some People Hate the New Barbie Movie   The new Barbie Movie is out in theaters and the media has been raving about it. What’s not to love? Well, apparently a lot.  Even a week or two before the release of the movie people were saying things like this post on Facebook: “How many people think that the Barbie movie is a waste of film?” Once the movie came out, while the mainstream media and the usual suspects in the Hollywood critics chorus chanted the same praise phrases, a few critical thinkers disagreed— a lot.  Both Elon Musk and Ben Shapiro pointed to the heavy-handed use of the word “patriarchy” throughout the ...
