Marilyn Monroe: 50th Anniversary of Monroe's Death

Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jeane Mortenson)
 June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962

August 5, 2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of actress Marilyn Monroe. Fifty years after her untimely and somewhat mysterious passing, Marilyn Monroe continues to be as iconic as she was in the 1950s and 60s. In memory of Marilyn Monroe, these are some of the articles I have written about Marilyn Monroe:

Health & weight: How big was Marilyn Monroe & what size dress did she wear?

A strange mythology has sprung up over Marilyn Monroe's dress size. For decades I heard Marilyn Monroe was a size 12 back in the 1950s. However, in more recent years, Elizabeth Hurley (2000) and Roseanne Barr (1996) have claimed Monroe was a size 16. (snopes.com)
