L'Orenta Stroopwafels Are a Unique Treat



L'Orenta Stroopwafels, Wafer Cookies for Dunking In Coffee - Authentic Dutch Recipe

 I had read about stroopwafels and how they are good with coffee and tea. The article I read talked about setting your stroopwafel on top of your steaming cup to heat it, so I was a bit leery about eating a L'Orenta Stroopwafel fresh out of the box. However, I wanted to try these as soon as the box arrived so I popped one in my mouth.

 

My first bite was nothing special, but by the 2nd and 3rd bite, the delicious caramel flavor came through. Not quite as sweet as most cookies, the stroopwaffel has a slightly chewier consistency and makes a unique treat for those who have never tried one. 

There are 16 stroopwafels in the box I purchased. Each stroopwafel is individually wrapped to keep them fresh. This also keeps each one uncontaminated during a pandemic which is a timely feature.

Choking on honey: What to do Honey is a thick, viscous fluid which can become trapped in a person's airway. While there are many articles written about using honey to remove obstructions from the throat, there is not much, if anything, written about what to do if someone is choking on honey. I had an experience where I was choking on honey and called the paramedics. I couldn't even speak by the time I had someone on the phone. By the time the paramedics arrived, the honey had dissolved enough for me to begin gasping for air.  The main thing is to NOT PANIC and not inhale it deeper while it is thick. Honey will slowly dissolve and thin out. 'Naked and Afraid XL' and Mean Girl Cliques

I just finished watching the third season of "Naked And Afraid XL." I respect these people for leaving the comfort, safety and security of home to face unknown hardships in remote and inhospitable places. I wouldn't choose to do it, so my comments should be viewed knowing I realize I could not do what these people have done. In addition, I am aware that most of the action and dialogue takes place off camera. All my impressions are compliments of a cameraman and a film editor and the scenes they chose to share. A lot happens that that I am completely unaware of. With these two disclaimers in mind, let's talk about Mean Girl Cliques on "Naked And Afraid XL." Every girl comes up against them in elementary school. They become a force to be reckoned with in junior high and have usually become more sophisticated and somewhat nicer in high school.
