World Famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge 62nd Annual Birthday Bash on Broadway in Nashville tomorrow, Tuesday, October 4th

Free block party features music starting at noon. The main concert begins at 5 pm and features Lee Brice, Parmalee, Randy Houser, Montgomery Gentry, Colt Ford, Drew Green, Jamey Johnson, Dan Tyminski and more.

The World Famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Music City’s legendary honky-tonk, will celebrate its 62nd birthday in downtown Nashville Tuesday, October 4th. As part of the celebration, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge will feature entertainment on the outdoor Broadway stage throughout the day -- a FREE star-studded concert that is open to the public. Featured headliners include Lee Brice, Parmalee, Montgomery Gentry, Colt Ford, Randy Houser, and Drew Green! Tootsies recently announced the addition of award-winners Jamey Johnson and Dan Tyminski to the main stage lineup. 

The annual Broadway street party features performances from some of the biggest stars in music, including surprise appearances.

Additionally, Tootsie's Owner Steve Smith and Ben Weprin, Founder & CEO of AJ Capital, have invited the media to attend a conversation about the past, present, and future of Nashville hospitality. Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge has operated across the alley from the Ryman almost continuously since 1960. Its proprietor from 1960 to 1978, Hattie Louise “Tootsie” Bess, bought the lounge called “Mom’s” and named it for herself. Choking on honey: What to do Honey is a thick, viscous fluid which can become trapped in a person's airway. While there are many articles written about using honey to remove obstructions from the throat, there is not much, if anything, written about what to do if someone is choking on honey. I had an experience where I was choking on honey and called the paramedics. I couldn't even speak by the time I had someone on the phone. By the time the paramedics arrived, the honey had dissolved enough for me to begin gasping for air.  The main thing is to NOT PANIC and not inhale it deeper while it is thick. Honey will slowly dissolve and thin out. 'Naked and Afraid XL' and Mean Girl Cliques

I just finished watching the third season of "Naked And Afraid XL." I respect these people for leaving the comfort, safety and security of home to face unknown hardships in remote and inhospitable places. I wouldn't choose to do it, so my comments should be viewed knowing I realize I could not do what these people have done. In addition, I am aware that most of the action and dialogue takes place off camera. All my impressions are compliments of a cameraman and a film editor and the scenes they chose to share. A lot happens that that I am completely unaware of. With these two disclaimers in mind, let's talk about Mean Girl Cliques on "Naked And Afraid XL." Every girl comes up against them in elementary school. They become a force to be reckoned with in junior high and have usually become more sophisticated and somewhat nicer in high school.
